MAY 2017

• Friday May 5th - invited to Chicken-Like Birds and Marina and the Specks LIVE at Jojo's
• Saturday May 6th - Opening of the 2017 Osoyoos Market On Main
• Sunday May 7th - SORCO Raptor Rehab Centre 2017 Open House
• Tuesday May 9th - #BCElections
• Tuesday May 9th - Speech Evaluator at South Okanagan Toastmasters #7791 meeting
• Monday May 15th - Meeting with Mayor McKortoff & Osoyoos
• Tuesday May 16th - Madam Toastmaster at South Okanagan Toastmasters #7791 meeting
• Saturday May 20th - Invited to see Little Foot and Wolf concert at Jojo's Cafe
• Sunday May 21st - Attended 2nd Annual Osoyoos Medieval Faire
• Tuesday May 23rd -General Evaluator and re-elected Vice President of Public Relations for a 3rd term for South Okanagan Toastmasters #7791
• Tuesday May 30th - Tabletopics Master at South Okanagan Toastmasters #7791 meeting
• Wednesday May 31st - Went to #CampDay at Tim Hortons (Osoyoos, British Columbia)

JUNE 2017

• Sunday June 11th - Attended the new Inaugural event The Great Osoyoos Day of ADventure which was hosted and created by the Osoyoos & District Museum and Archives My Team - Team Canada won a prize for haivng the most team spirit.
• Tuesday June 20th- Went to the Final South Okanagan Toastmasters #7791 meeting before our summer break
• Saturday June 24th- helped out a BBQ fundraiser for Spirit of the Game Society
• Tuesday June 27th- Attended the year End BBQ party for South Okanagan Toastmasters #7791
• Friday June 30th - invited to the first Osoyoos Ambassador Program 2017 Pageant The annual pageant was formerly known as Miss Osoyoos Program. I was a past Osoyoos Princess reigning from June 2008 - June 2010. During this year’s pageant I was warmly welcomed having my past achievements recognized by the Committee as well as given the opportunity to speak on stage about my upcoming pageant!

• JULY 2017

  • Saturday July 1st - Took part in the 150th Canada Day & 69th Cherry fiesta celebrations In the morning I took part in the parade riding in a car lent to me by one of my Mom’s Co-workers and driven by her boss all of whom work at the Osoyoos Duty Free Shop . During the Opening Ceremony I was invited on-stage to wish everyone a Happy Canada Day. Thanks to the Osoyoos Festival Society I was fortunate enough to host a fundraising booth. In the afternoon I sold the homemade Sunscreen & In the evening I sold glow in the dark things. My fundraiser was immensely successful as I sold out of both my Sunscreen & glow sticks. I made close to $600 which I am incredibly grateful for! Thankfully I sold out of everything before the Fireworks Display. I was able to sit back, relax and enjoy the stupendous Show which is put on by the Osoyoos Fireworks group who work tirelessly throughout the year to raise money for this show stopping spectacle. [Fun Fact: our Small town Firework Finale on Canada Day is said to be the best display in western Canada. In 2015 our Fireworks show was named the #1 display in Canada that year.]
